Unpacking
If shipped in an envelope, view the print lying on the
enclosed cardboard, like a cookie sheet. Avoid excessive handling
of the print. Have it framed right away, or re-pack it in
the mailer envelope.
If shipped in a tube, wear cotton gloves and
remove the print from the tube. Lay the print on a flat, clean
surface. Have it framed right away, or re-roll the print, and re-insert
in the tube provided. Do not use paperclips or rubber bands on the
print. Let the print fan out loosely inside the tube.
Handling
Wear cotton gloves. The oil from your fingers may leave
a finger print on the image. Work on a flat surface. When
moving the print, support the print by placing your hands under
the print. Avoid grabbing the print with your hands or fingers-it
can leave marks on the image that can show. If possible,
use cardboard under the print to move it, avoiding contact with
the print.
Avoid allowing others from handling your print who are not properly
instructed on handling fine art photography.
Do not apply materials containing water or saliva. Be careful
of excessive perspiration or sneezing directly onto the print.
If you accidently get moisture onto the print, do not wipe it off.
Let it dry naturally.
Framing
The best thing to do is get your print framed right away. Once
your image is framed, you don't have to concern yourself
with damage to the print.
UV Plexiglass or Lucite UF3 are preferred to glass to further
protect the work against light damage or physical damage caused
by shattered glass. On larger images, the weight of the framed
piece is much lighter and easier to hang as well.
Inspecting
All images are inspected prior to being shipped. If your
packaged print arrives and it appears damaged, do not accept the
package and email us immediately. If you have opened the
package and find the print has shipping damage, email us immediately.
